“Happiness in this world, when it comes, comes incidentally. Make it the object of pursuit, and it leads us a wild-goose chase, and is never attained. Follow some other object, and very possibly we may find that we have caught happiness without dreaming of it.”

 November Resolutions

We are less than two months away from New Year’s Day and the resolutions we’ll make (but probably not keep). If you want to escape this vicious cycle, try starting in November with a 30 day technique that will dramatically enhance your chances of success. But don’t take my word for it. One man put this into practice and made dramatic changes in less than a month, including writing a novel in less than 30  days and climbing Mt. KilimanjaroSee this brief article accompanied by a 3 minute TED talk  in which the man explains it all for you. (Hint: It has a lot to do with Charles Duhiigg’s book “The Power of Habit”)

Scarier than Ebola?

We’ve been inundated by the media with politicians, CDC officials and other “players” in the Ebola Crisis. But what do the folks who have to deal with an epidemic person to person think of all this? This very interesting post by an emergency room doctor will help put things in perspective and while not necessary allaying your total level of fear, will hopefully get you worrying about the right thing. Spend a few minutes learning what an ER doctor says “scares me even more than Ebola.
