Father’s Day comes next Sunday so here are some thoughts on The truth about what it’s like to be a new dad. Good reading for Dads, Moms and children alike.

Stand and REALLY Deliver (46% more)

It’s been said that sitting is the new smoking.”  New research indicates that standing and walking are critical to a healthy, longer life and can slow down the aging process.

It now appears that by getting off our backsides we’ll be more productive as well. According to a recent study conducted by the University of Texas, employees at a call center who stood periodically were 46% more productive than those who sat. Check out this brief summary of the study and its results (a link to the study itself is also provided).

Queen Mary’s Annual Address

It’s summer so it’s time for the annual state of the internet report from the woman who is one of the best respected analysts of the IT world, Mary Meeker (aka “Queen of the Internet) of the Kleiner Perkins venture capital firm. At the recent 2016 Code Conference she offered a 25 minute video overview (accompanied by 200+ slides) of the future of the Internet, Smart Phones, and the impact on retailing and automotive, to name just a few of the topics covered.
